This morning, our Talent Acquisition Manager, Anne-Sophie Smadja, met the Minister of Labor at a roundtable on hiring.
What was the occasion?
Anne-Sophie met Mrs. Muriel Pénicaud at the talk on “Discussions with SME entrepreneurs on job trends for managers and their hiring prospects for 2018”.
Note that, in 2018, the job market for managers improved, with the economy recovering as of 2015.
The good news is that, with more than 270,000 new hirings forecast for 2018, the unemployment rate for managers will not exceed 3.5%, which represents a 13% improvement compared to 2017.
We are currently hiring close to 100 people per year, so recruitment is of major interest to us.
Every day, we see that the market shows a shortfall of engineers and technicians in France, and we shared this observation and our ideas.
We discussed our initiatives, which were recognized in the Great Place To Work rankings:
- Participation-based, informal interviews, often with a game of table football or darts at the end of the interview
- A flat organization chart
- An opportunity to acquire company shares
- The creation of premises that break the codes of traditional offices
We thank the APEC for their invitation and Mrs. Pénicaud for our discussions.
